Home and School Club Meeting 
Highlights

March 2008

 

Home and School Club met on March 10, with 1st grade parents hosting.  There were 12 attendees.

 

Principal’s Report: (Mrs. Renken)

  • Congratulating James Moore on the finalization of the Brick Project, which will be available for viewing on our website.

  • Summer Camp information is also available on our website.

  • Enrollment for the 2008-2009 school year is looking good!

  • Our school will have the first WASC accreditation visit on April 25th.

 

Staff Report: (Miss Bakke)

  • The teachers recently went to an inservice at Campbell Christian School .  The topic was Movement and Brain Development.  The teachers thought it was helpful and came away with some good ideas.

 

Treasurer’s Report: ( Dana Rowell )

  • The financials look good.

  • One particular thing of note is that Family Dinner Nights have been a success!

 

School Board Report: (James Moore)

Board update included a handout on Marketing efforts, including the upcoming phonathon, and General School Board business.  How to increase volunteerism was also discussed.

 

Other Business:

  • Mrs. Williams, our Music Teacher requested funding for the Spring Music Program T-shirts and hats, and after voting the funding was granted.  She also requested funding for the Bag Piper to perform, a vote was held and the funds granted.

  • Sally Peterson spoke on the Yearbook, and requested assistance. 

  •  The End of the Year Classroom Gift from HSC was discussed and voted upon.  We will be purchasing the Accelerated Reading program.

 

Our next Meeting is May 19, with the 2nd and 3rd grades hosting.  See you then.

 

 

                                            

Make a Difference for Our School by collecting Box Tops

The Winner of the 3rd Box Tops Class Contest is…….. Mrs. Vroom’s Class!  Congratulations!!  Mrs. Vroom’s Class collected 201 Box Tops!  To date all classes combined collected 4,023 Box Tops!  Way to Go!  This equals $402.30 to St. Timothy’s School.  We are on our way to reaching our goal of $700.  Thank you to all that participated in our third class contest.  We have the class by class list  posted in the office if you would like to see how your child’s class did.

 

Reminder – Please keep clipping Box Tops!  We will be collecting them through out the entire school year.  Collection cans are located in each classroom and the school office.  Each Box Top is worth 10 cents to St. Timothy’s!  The 4th and Final Box Tops Class Contest will end in May.  Also, please remember to collect Campbell’s Soup UPS Symbols (not the front label) and used stamps along with your Box Tops!
