St. Timothy's
believes that extracurricular activities add an important
dimension to the development of its students. To that end, we
take an active role in providing a wide variety of
options for those students desiring to expand their
horizons beyond the classroom. Opportunities to participate in
these activities will be sent home with the students or you may
call the office for more information. Some of these opportunities are
described below.
Choir
The choir is run by St. Timothy's own music teacher, Ms.
Noree Williams. It allows those students with a passion
for singing to further develop their talent and broaden their
knowledge of music. The choir gives performances at the
school Christmas and Spring programs, has a summer workshop
(shown at right), performs at various
school functions and gives special concerts during the school
year.
Science Adventures
Presented by Science Enrichment Services, Inc., Science
Adventures has been bringing hands-on science to children in
Kindergarten through 6th grade for over 20 years. Their
catchphrase is Discovery-Quest-Excitement-Fun, and this year's
topics includes Slime Time, Fantastic Physics, Awesome Oceans,
Astro Adventures, Science Bloopers, and Spy Tek. Every child participates in exciting
activities and educational take home projects. The club meets
every Monday from 3:15 - 4:05.
Scouts
Both Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts are a long time favorite at St.
Tim's. From first grade through fifth grade, the campus abounds
with Bear, Wolf and Tiger Dens along with Webelos for boys and
Brownie, Jr. Girl and Girl Troops for the girls. The mission of
both of these fine organizations is to provide an educational
program for boys and girls to build character, to train in the
responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop
personal fitness.
