The
congregation adopts
a 2020 Vision.
The double meaning of the title is deliberate: the
vision is for the next 13 years, up to the year
2020; and it is the clearest picture the congregational
leadership has at present of how God is leading
us to grow in the years ahead. The vision statement
reads as follows:
We
are a connected family of believers
-
worshipping
God
- growing
in faith
- committed
to serving
with
a mission of bringing new believers to Jesus
Christ
July
2007
Gayle
Renken

of St. Timothy's Lutheran School. Gayle was a
part of the "Fab Four" Principal Team,
and prior to that taught Kindergarten at the School.

Phase 1 of the 2020 Vision which includes
undertaking a three-year $2 million Capital Campaign.
The goals of the campaign are
-
A
Sanctuary Enhancement (80%) which will allow
for both traditional and contemporary worship
under one roof
-
A
Debt Reduction component (15%)
-
A
Mission benevolence tithe (10%)
-
A
growing of the Endowment Fund (5%)

June

The
Sanctuary Enhancement is completed.
A rededication
service is held on Sunday, June 28 -- in the
midst of the deepest recession since the 1930s.
Thanks be to God for making it all possible.

St.
Timothy's votes to join Lutheran CORE.
After years of reflection upon what the best denominational
"fit" for St. Timothy's would be, the
congregation votes to join the Lutheran
Cooalition for Renewal. In this new alignment,
the congregation will continue to study the question
in a context of like-minded congregations in the
United States and Canada.
