Pastors' Message continued

We provide a variety of activities and opportunities for your involvement and support.

Throughout the year, the specifics of this web page will change. You’ll find information about our shared life together as a community of faith. But one thing will never change, and that is the love God has for you in His Son, Jesus Christ. Feel free to take a look at what we offer and to contact us if there is anything we can do to support you in your relationship with God.

Our Identity

"St. Timothy's Lutheran Church is a community of faith, created by God in Christ Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, called and sent to bear witness to God's creative, saving and life giving activity in the world."

Our Mission

To remain faithful to the Great Commission ("Go and make disciples," Matt 28:19-20) and the Great Commandment ("Love one another," Matt 2:37-40) of our Lord Jesus, in order that His purposes be carried through us.

Our Vision

On June 3, 2007, the congregation of St Timothy Lutheran Church voted to adopt a "2020 Vision." The double meaning of the title is deliberate: the vision is for the next 13 years, up to the year 2020; and it is the clearest picture the congregational leadership has at present of how God is leading us to grow in the years ahead. The vision statement reads as follows:

with a mission of bringing new believers to Jesus Christ

Our Purpose

St. Timothy's generally follows the Purpose-Driven model which describes five major congregational functions using "the 5 Ms":

This use of easily remembered words helps our people recall our purposes, and gives our new members a better understanding as to what membership means here at St. Timothy's.

Church Council

Consisting of members elected by the congregation, the Church Council is the decision-making body of the church.  Comprised of several Leadership Teams, the Council meets the first Tuesday of each month to effect policies, approve reports and consider the total church program.  The Council also prepares the budget for the congregation's action, and considers other major items for referral to the Annual Congregational Meeting.
